Sky, for Illustration Friday.
Riding along Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks in the morning, I’m reminded of what was one of my favourite things about working at the Granville Island Public Market back in the day – the rare experience of walking through the market halls before opening. On what would become a loud, pushy summer Saturday, to experience the market before it woke up – part-dark, chilled, wet floors, no distractions – was so lovely.
The morning beach, all to myself, holds the same behind-the-scenes magic. It’s that feeling of – most people don’t even realize this exists!
